JOB DESCRIPTION
Government Relations & Local Affairs – PRO (UAE National / Emirati)
JOB PURPOSE
To act as the Group’s official Emirati liaison with all UAE government departments and local authorities on behalf of Landmark and SpareMax. The role leverages the incumbent’s status as a UAE National to facilitate government transactions, strengthen local relationships and ensure the companies meet all regulatory and Emiratisation obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact with MOHRE, GDRFA/Immigration, Economic Department, Chambers of Commerce, municipalities and other authorities.
- Manage and expedite trade licences, establishment cards, labour approvals, quotas and company registrations.
- Facilitate visa processing, renewals, cancellations, Emirates ID and medical typing for staff.
- Represent the companies at government offices and local affairs meetings where a UAE National is required.
- Advise management on new government regulations, fees, portals and compliance requirements.
- Support Emiratisation targets, Nafis registration and related national workforce initiatives.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key contacts across government and semi-government bodies.
- Keep an accurate tracker of all licences, permits and documents with timely renewal alerts.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- UAE National (Emirati) with a valid Family Book — mandatory.
- 3+ years of experience in government relations / PRO or local affairs (freshers with the right aptitude may be considered).
- Familiarity with UAE government portals (MOHRE, ICP/GDRFA, DED, etc.).
- Valid UAE driving licence.
SKILLS & JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong network and rapport with UAE government departments and local authorities.
- Fluent Arabic (spoken and written) and good English.
- Professional, presentable and confident in representing the Group.
- Well-organised, reliable and able to manage multiple deadlines.
